Kate Hickman, our club director and recruit coordinator, is dedicated to walking our sophomores and juniors through the complexities of the recruiting process. As part of your membership with the club, Kate offers an annual recruiting seminar to all high school players and parents, along with a monthly recruiting e-newsletter that specifies what you should be doing during that specific month in the recruiting process. She also creates and distributes recruiting cards with our player’s bios to coaches at our fall/summer tournaments. Kate is in constant contact with coaches, gauging when and how to best approach recruiting, as it is a constantly changing process and each coach has their own preferences. She can proofread emails to coaches, interpret emails from coaches, advise you in how to approach certain conflicts, and help you through all of the other obstacles that may create confusion for you in this process. Kate also has a wealth of documents meant to clarify the “hows” of this process and to guide your daughter’s approach to everything from deciding what type of school is her fit to emailing coaches, setting up visits and meetings, and informing you of the appropriate questions to ask coaches during these meetings. Kate understands the stress, doubt and confusion that accompanies the recruiting process and will provide all the direction possible to set your hearts and minds at ease and assure you that you are doing everything in the appropriate order and time. Should you need any help during this process, simply email Kate at kahickman@gmail.com.
